Dear Evans Park Families,

Welcome to the 2025 - 2026 school year!  I hope everyone enjoyed a restful, relaxing, and healthy summer. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday, September 2nd!  

Every year our schools have a focus which drives our work in character education. Our theme this year focuses on the phrase, “Mastering Belonging!” New to Evans Park, and all of PRSD Elementary Schools, students will participate in monthly assemblies about Ninja Life Hacks, which will promote skills in empathy, kindness, and healthy habits to grow as individuals and a community. As a school, we support learners to engage in lessons, activities, celebrations, and leadership opportunities that celebrate our unique qualities and to strengthen our connections to one another. Together we will grow and learn as Tigers at Evans Park!

To view your child’s class placement please log onto the Parent Portal which opens on Monday, August 25th at 9:00 AM.  Once logged onto the Parent Portal, you will be prompted to update your contact information, including your phone number, email address, and emergency contacts.  Additionally, you will be asked to review and acknowledge receipt of the:

• Summer Health Update Form 

• Pearl River Technology 1:1 Handbook and Acceptable Use Agreement

• Chromebook Sign-off Form

• Internet-Based Instructional Resources

• Guidelines/Consent for Publishing on the Web and in Media

• Student Records FERPA Notification

• Code of Conduct 

• Sunflower Photography contact release

• PTA contact information release

After you have completed all of the updates in the Parent Portal, you will be able to view your child’s teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.  

We have also provided links below to building level forms, please review and complete these forms before the first day of school.

• Early Dismissal Action Plan / Emergency Contact - This information will be used in the event of an early dismissal due to inclement weather or emergency. Please be sure to save the response to this form. It is due by August 28th.

• Permanent Walker Form - If you know your child will be a walker either every day or one or two days a week for the whole year, please complete this form and you will not need to fill out the daily dismissal change form. It is due by August 27th.

• Arrival / Dismissal Flyer - The procedures for our entry and dismissal ensure strong community partnerships and student safety. Please adhere to all arrival and dismissal guidelines outlined in the flyer. During the first week of school our dismissal will move slower to support the safety of children. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

• DAILY DISMISSAL CHANGE Google Form - In the event there is a daily change to dismissal, Evans Park Elementary will be utilizing a Google Form system for dismissal changes. This form will be used for daily changes for walkers, busing, or attendance at afterschool programs. It should be completed before 11:30 AM each day.

• Parent-Student Handbook - This document provides insight into daily procedures at the school for arrival, dismissal, programs, etc. All families are encouraged to thoroughly read through this handbook prior to the start of the year.

• PTA - All parents and teachers are urged to join the PTA to promote children's health, well-being and educational success through strong family, student, and school relationships within Evans Park and the greater Pearl River School District. Also, signing up for communication with our PTA gives access to information about resources and community events.

School begins on Tuesday, September 2nd at 9:00 a.m. for all students.  You are invited to join us for a Welcome Back Tea hosted by our PTA that morning after our students have entered the building. This event will be held on the blacktop area in the front of the school.
